I am one of the interns in the OpenMrs internship program. I would like to thank the OIP committee for giving me this opportunity.
I will be developing a module to schedule and provide visit statistics for patients based on the Openmrs model.
I envision a module that manages clinic schedule volumes, provider load balance, patient tracing statictics plus all those ideas you are going to give me.

It might be dangerous to let people give you a whole bunch of ideas for your scheduling module. You're a brave man! :-)
We'll have to ping some of the guys at AMPATH, I'm sure tjavascript:void(0)hey have a few ideas as well. I think right now they just do manual data exports or queries for what you're going to display nicely in the webapp.
Thanks for the comment Ben. I will take the risk.folks might have very useful insights. off course one has to eventually filter and probably publish what will be covered by the module.
its like business the, the bigger the risk the greater the spoils.
The development of the module has been somewhat slow. I the coming week though, I expect to really up to speed. I am currently in the process of finalizing the data model and will be sharing it with my mentor(s) later today or early 3rd Feb 08 before finally publishing it on the wiki. Getting the source code to my workspace in eclipse has also been a challenge but am working around it with the help of my mentor. checkout the blog in coming weeks for more details of what am doing.
So I'm a bit late to be commenting, but I'd love to see the "show me upcoming patient visits for doctor X", with pictures.
Am not sure I get what you mean by upcoming patient visits for doctor X", with pictures. do you mean pictures of doctors or of Patients?
If we have the ability and time, we will gladly add the feature. Even if probably not within the OIP calender.
